Cîroc Vodka Masterclass

Making cocktails, is an art form. To get the right balance and the right quanitites takes skill, so my friends at Cîroc Vodka invited me to a masterclass to learn more about their premium spirit and how to make their signature cocktails. Saint at The MARC was the perfect afternoon setting to create the Cîroc Blue Stone (an homage to their logo), the Citrus Breeze perfect for summer and being the over achiever I am, I learnt how to make a Litchi Martini.

This intimate afternoon soiree had a select few of Joburg’s finest including Clement Stolz & Tshepi Vundla, who I love and adore. It’s always a pleasure catching up with her. The mixologists started off by telling us the basics of cocktail making - strong & weak, sweet & sour - all put together in the right way, gives you the perfect serve.

I tend to leave it up to the bartender when I am ordering a drink at a bar. However, what I will insist on is the brand of spirit that is in the drink; “You can chose the drink but, I would like a vodka based drink , and make it Cîroc.” Give me a Cîroc Martini anyday, and I’m sold. Did you say a Cîroc, Lime & Soda? Done, sip me baby one more time! I choose Cîroc because contrary to popular belief the vodka is not made from grain, but distelled five times from the finest grapes in the South Of France. Now that’s what you call premium.
